The Anaheim Police were recently called to Disneyland when a flock of geese pooped on about 40 guests. Apparently they were also called when an unknown object was found in a tree near Downtown Disney the afternoon of Tuesday, June 3, according to the O.C. Register.
The Anaheim police set up a perimeter while they investigated the object, restricting access to some areas near the ESPN Zone. Continue reading

Downtown Disney is a great place for a date any day of the year, so it should come as no surprise that I highly recommend it for celebrating Valentine’s Day, too! Read on for a few of my favorite ways to spend quality time with the one you love:
If you’re a classic romantic, there’s a good chance either dinner for two, a big-screen romance or decadent chocolate tops your list of Valentine’s Day gestures. Guess who’s got them all? Restaurant options abound here at Downtown Disney (book early here or via 407-WDW-DINE), AMC Downtown Disney 24 is showing all the latest flicks, and Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop is the “go-to” source for chocolate delights. (And if you want to roll those all into one big experience, may I suggest AMC 24 Dine-In Theatres – opt for the Chocolate Brownie Sundae for dessert.) Continue reading

There will be a lot of fun at both Disneyland and California Adventure tomorrow night, Monday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve. However many of us can’t get in right now due to passport blackouts. So what to do?
Well, you could go to the Anaheim House of Blues, at Downtown Disney, on New Year’s Eve for “The House of 80’s” featuring NYE Bash featuring DJ DLP! The Psychedelic Furs show that was previously scheduled was canceled. People who purchased tickets(s) to the canceled Psychedelic Furs show are welcome to attend House of 80’s NYE Bash @ NO charge (with ticket stub to Psychedlic Furs show) and receive complimentary champagne toast @ Midnite.
If you have tickets to Disneyland, here are the details about New Year’s Eve at the Disneyland Resort: Continue reading

Well, you may not know this but both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts have established permanent Emergency Operations Centers, to “provide a swift, well coordinated response in the event of an emergency. These Centers are always on alert and use the same unified command system as law enforcement agencies (the Incident Command System or “ICS”) to facilitate communication and expedite mobilization in crisis situations,” according to a 2002 Walt Disney Company Report on Safety.
